Overview
Mustakbil.com is seeking an experienced, solution-oriented Web Developer for a full-time, remote position based in Pakistan. The selected candidate will join a growing e-commerce team, collaborating closely with product management and IT departments to build, support, and enhance online shops and multiple technical systems.

In this role, you will handle both frontend and backend development, performance optimization, and system integrations. Your core tasks include building new website features, improving loading speeds, and optimizing designs for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices. Additionally, you will connect external systems using REST APIs, manage large product databases, and work with files like CSV, XML, and JSON. Other duties include setting up automated processes, troubleshooting server or database errors, managing backups before critical updates, and maintaining highly documented code. Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00 German Time (CET/CEST), consisting of an 8-hour shift and a 1-hour break.
Before you apply
Candidates must possess at least 3 to 5 years of professional web development experience. Strong proficiency in core technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL/SQL databases is required. You should have a proven background in handling e-commerce platforms, API integrations, and version-control systems like Git. While not mandatory, experience with JTL-Shop, JTL-Wawi, Amazon or eBay marketplace integrations, and search engine optimization (SEO) fundamentals will be considered a highly valuable advantage. Excellent English communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities are essential to succeed in this independent, remote setting.
